HP's Ipaq PocketPC 2003 SE problem
The problem with HP's decision is they let us all upgrade to pocket pc 2003 earlier in 2004. Now Microsoft finally comes out with hard fixes for that o/s and HP decides not to let us get it.
HP has lost me as a customer of future technology but I am hoping I can at least help get them to change there mind.
Also Microsoft needs to change there system of updates. They should directly give us pocketpc updates like they do in Windows updates. Leaving it up to the manufacturer looks like a big mistake.
UPDATE. The CEO was removed but the company still does not take care of existing customers. They are only looking for new ones and new money.

On March 24, 2004 Microsoft Corporation announced the release of Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition for Pocket PC, a update for the OS and application suite for Pocket PC handheld computing devices
Unfortunately, Hewlett Packard has announced that it will not provide the upgrade for existing ipaq models.
“Technically, all Pocket PC 2003 devices are capable of supporting the new Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition software for Pocket PC.”
So it is correct to say that Windows Mobile for Pocket PC 2003 second edition offers significant benefit to the user and is capable on running on older Pocket PC 2003 first edition devices via a software upgrade.
Without upgrades from Hewlett Packard, users are relegated to purchasing brand new Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition for Pocket PC devices at great expense.
Since these IPAQ models are still used by a large portion of the PDA community (see Brighthand Forums and other PDA Forums), we users of IPAQ H19xx, H22xx, H38xx, H39xx, H41xx, H5xxx series computing devices are requesting that Hewlett Packard offer a reasonable commercial Windows Mobile 2003 Second edition for Pocket PC upgrade service or software package for these IPAQ series handheld computers.
Sincerely,
(She is gone now)
